POLL - What is right?

The situation

A Chinese-speaking old man (imagine those uncles that sit at the coffee shops drinking beers and watching soccer) came to me with an iPhone 3GS brochure. He was unable to read the entire paper and needs translation. I read out everything, line by line, for him. He has no idea what an iPhone does, the difference between 8, 16 and 32GB, data usage and probably even how a 2-year contract functions. He wanted to get an expensive price plan because he get to purchase the phone cheaper. Then, he asked if he could cancel the Internet feature, which almost got me fainting.

Problem

This man has a desire to purchase an iPhone for himself because he heard his friends saying there are many “free” things that come with the phone. (I am guessing they were referring to the apps.) Tha might be the main reason that got him excited. But knowing that he does not even own a computer, I was caught in between - to offer other phones to him or help the working team earn more commission?
